Bouviers are calm but may be reserved with strangers. They are loyal to families and not easily agitated. Named after Flanders, Belgium, Bouviers weigh 70 to 100 pounds and stand 23 to 26 inches tall.
With a lifespan of ten to twelve years, Bouviers need plenty of exercise, even if not working on a farm.
