The Czechoslovakian Wolfdog is known for its silver and yellow-gray coat. This breed originated in 1955 from an experiment by the CSSR Breed Association. Despite its wolf-like look, the wolfdog is actually very friendly.

It is energetic and bold, which is not surprising since it was bred by crossing wolves and guard dogs. With only about 340 registered in Slovakia, Italy, and a few other countries, this breed is quite rare, which explains its high price.
Although they are great dogs, Czech wolfdogs are banned in forty states. Laws on wolf hybrids vary, so always check local regulations before owning one. News about illegal wolfdogs sometimes appears on major networks.
